A Spokane based dance trio that specializes in can-can and cabaret, Rouge la Rue brings all original acts to local and international stages. All trained, professional dancers, their love for the art brought them together in 2013. Producers of their own shows, they also team up with other performance artists to bring some serious pizzaz to the northwest. Their diverse and impressive repertoire has them known as some of the top cabaret and burlesque performers in the area. With a contagious charm and notable chemistry, Rouge la Rue offers something truly memorable. Be it fluffy skirts, fancy tricks or feathery fans, these three aim high with their ravishing, dazzling performances.

Rouge la Rue was created in 2014 by Nickie B. along with Nefabit of Northwest Bellydance Co. and Kori Kopia. Inspired by old world night halls like the Moulin Rouge and the Folies Bergere with influence from classic vaudeville shows and a variety of dance styles, these entertainers put a refreshingly accessible spin on cabaret and burlesque.

Miss Nickie B. began her journey in dance and performance art over 20 years ago. Building a strong foundation in classical and tribal bellydance, she later went on to study other various styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern and several cultural dance formats. Hailing from Chicago, raised by bohemians and born with a fascination for oddities, it is no wonder she fell in love with cabaret and found her ultimate passion in vaudevillian style performance art. Nickie B. holds a BA / Dance Minor from the Evergreen State College and is the creator, director and resident choreographer of Rouge la Rue. She also loves working with local photographers, film makers and choreographing for local theaters. Nefabit is a second-generation, multi-award winning dancer who's been studying various dance disciplines for nearly 25 years. She is a resident choreographer for Rouge la Rue as well as the owner of Northwest Bellydance Company. NWBD showcases Middle Eastern movement styles from classical bellydance to tribal fusion and folkloric styles with modern production elements. Kori Kopia absolutely loves to dance! She has been bellydancing primarily for the past 20 years. She is Phase II certified with the esteemed 8 Elements dance program, and completed a three month long stint in India studying Odissi. Kori teamed up with Rouge la Rue in 2015. She brings her signature goofball allure and love for performance to local productions across the northwest.
